Art Walks: Casorati to Palazzo Cucchiari, Carrara

From 27 June to 25 October, the exhibition Le signore dell’arte. La parità del talento nell’arte italiana moderna (Ladies of Art. Equality of Talent in Modern Italian Art) is open to visitors at Palazzo Cucchiari in Carrara. Curated by Massimo Bertozzi and promoted by the Fondazione Giorgio Conti, the exhibition explores the recognition of the role of women in shaping Italian artistic modernity.

The exhibition presents an extensive journey through the work of women artists active between the mid-19th and the mid-20th century. Alongside works by the female protagonists, the display also includes three paintings by Giacomo Balla and four works by Felice Casorati, whose presence enriches the cultural and artistic context in which the careers and achievements of the featured women artists developed.

Two of the works by Felice Casorati belong to the UniCredit Art Collection: Donna con manto o Ragazza seduta con coperta, 1935 e Paesaggio La Casa, 1920
