Over fifty shots taken from a selection of approximately 25,000 photographs taken over a period of almost ten years (2015-2024) in more than 80 museums all over the world.
These are the exceptional numbers of the photographic exhibition ‘Contemporary Museum Watching’ by artist Alex Trusty, of which UniCredit is the Main Sponsor. The exhibition will be held at the Collezioni Comunali d'arte - Palazzo d'Accursio in Piazza Maggiore 6 in Bologna from 16 November 2024 to 3 March 2025.
The photographs portray viewers in contemplation in front of works of art: from the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan to the Galleria Borghese in Rome, from the Vatican Museums to the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, passing through numerous international institutions, including the National Gallery in London, the MOMA - Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, the Musée Magritte in Brussels and the Museum Palace in Taiwan, to name but a few.
Among these great venues, the artist also chose to take a shot in our venue of Palazzo Magnani in Bologna, in the beautiful and evocative Salone dei Carracci. This photograph was chosen as the exhibition poster.
