UniCredit Art Collection and Haltadefinizione: the first HD valorisation project

The digitisation of Dosso Dossi's Il Risveglio di Venere for the European Heritage Days.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2024 (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September 2024) UniCredit Art Collection and Haltadefinizione presented the first project for the high-definition valorisation of the Collection combining art and technology. The digitisation of the masterpiece Il Risveglio di Venere by Dosso Dossi, part of the UniCredit Collection and housed in the Quadreria of Palazzo Magnani in Bologna, has been made available to the public through new ways of enjoyment thanks to the work carried out by Haltadefinizione.
In the Quadreria, in front of the work, a multimedia totem shows the digitisation through a gigapixel immersive experience inside the painting, capable of revealing its micro-details, from the weave of the canvas to the pictorial film, with some historical and artistic insights.

The project is part of a broader initiative to enhance and make accessible the UniCredit Art Collection, bringing the public closer to great works of art through digital innovation.
