Biography
Davide Rivalta (Bologna, Italy, 1974)
Born in Bologna in 1974, Davide Rivalta graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown in 1996.
His artistic research focuses on representing the animal world through large sculptures in bronze, aluminum, or steel, placed in public and natural spaces.
The works, created from photographs taken in zoos and farms, convey the physical and psychological presence of animals, establishing a dialogue between nature and architecture. Among his most renowned installations are the lions at the Quirinal Palace and the horse at the presidential estate of Castelporziano.
He exhibits in museums and public spaces in Italy and abroad, including the Triennale di Milano, MAN in Nuoro, MARCA in Catanzaro, and the Aichi Triennale in Japan.
