    Elia Cantori (Ancona, Italy, 1984)

Born in Ancona in 1984, Elia Cantori studied Visual Arts at Goldsmiths College and the Slade School of Fine Art in London.

Through his sculptures, Cantori explores space with a scientific approach, studying the materials that compose it and their relationship with the surrounding reality.

He creates sculptures, photographs, installations, and videos, which portray the connection between energy and matter. Due to his experimental attitude and constant use of physical and chemical processes, his activity may resemble that of a scientist. He has exhibited in various solo and group shows, including: "That’s IT!" curated by Lorenzo Balbi at MAMbo in Bologna, 2018; "CosmicPulses" at Repetto Gallery in London, 2017 and "Zodiaco" at Samy Abraham in Paris. In addition, his works have also been displayed at Marsèlleria in Milan, Klemm’s Gallery in Berlin, and Hopstreet Gallery in Brussels (2016-2017).

His works are included in several private and public collections.

The artist currently lives and works in Ancona.
