    Loris Cecchini (Milan, Italy, 1969)

Born in Milan in 1969, but raised between Siena and Prato, Loris Cecchini studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan from 1993 to 1994. There, he started developing an interest in photography and in the analogue-to-digital transition.

During his studies, he began using silicone and other materials to produce small objects, eventually turning to the creation of large environmental installations over the years. His works have been displayed worldwide, from Paris to New York to Shanghai.

He has participated in various editions of the Venice Biennale and created site-specific installations at Villa Celle in Pistoia, in the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, at the Boghossian Foundation in Brussels, at Les Terrasses Du Port in Marseille, and for the Cleveland Clinic’s Arts & Medicine Institute in the United States.

He currently lives and works in Berlin.
