Anja Manfredi (Lienz (AT), 1978)
Anja Manfredi was born in Lienz in 1978. From 1998 to 1999 she graduated from the School for Artistic Photography under Friedl Kubelka, which she has also headed herself since 2010. From 1999 to 2005, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Eva Schlegel and Josephine Pryde.
A large number of exhibitions followed her training. Both group and solo exhibitions have taken place in Austria and abroad. Manfredi's art has been shown at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna, the Galerie WestLicht in Vienna, the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg, the Museum für Sepulkral Kultur in Kassel and the Museo de Arte contemporáneo de Castilla y León in Spain, among others.
The most recent solo exhibitions were at the Dorothergasse Gallery in Vienna and the exhibition ‘Atlas’ at the Bank Austria Kunstforum in Vienna in 2023.
Since 2016 she is member of the Association of Visual Artists Wiener Secession.
The artist has won several awards over the course of her career. These include the Theodor Körner Prize in 2010 and the Outstanding Artist Award for artistic photography from the Federal Ministry in 2017.
