    Christian Hutzinger (Vienna (AT), 1966)

    Christian Hutzinger was born in Vienna in 1966. From 1987 to 1991, he studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under fellow artist Adolf Frohner. Several residencies in Krakow, Paris, Copenhagen and Rome broadened his artistic horizons during his studies.

    In the years following his graduation, he had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Austria and on the international stage. His first solo exhibitions were at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Galerie A4 in Wels and Galerie Eboran in Salzburg.

    Many more exhibitions were to follow throughout the years. His art has been exhibited at the Belvedere in Vienna, the National Gallery of Art in Warsaw and the Hagiwara Projects in Tokyo, among many others national and international places.
    In 2000, he was awarded the State Scholarship for Fine Arts.

    He works mainly with painting, collage and drawing as well as on site-specific projects with murals.

    The artist lives and works in Vienna.
